Drifting Experience Days: The Hertfordshire ‘Gold’ drifting experience is the pinnacle of
drifting lessons – a full day of sideways madness in a race-ready
Mazda MX-5. You will have an impressive 40 laps of driving to hone
your skills and build up your speed and confidence, and by the end
of full day at the motorsports academy you should be able to quite
comfortably hold and link some incredible slides. At 1.2km this is
the longest drifting track in the UK, and offers participants the
fastest experience around!

The day begins with some theory training on basic track driving,
before you head out in a sports car for a sighting lap to get a
feel for the track – then a hot lap with the professional driver at
the wheel! With a senior instructor in the passenger seat
throughout the remaining 40 laps, you’ll be using the handbrake
extensively to practise high speed drifts at sharp angles and long
transitions to 3rd gear entries. You’ll be taught how to link
corners confidently and drift sideways on full lock around the
