Sailing Experience Days: Ahoy there, sailor! Welcome aboard the tall ship Gaff Cutter. We
hope you’ve found your sea legs, ‘cause it’s time for a
swashbuckling five-hour adventure off Dorset’s scenic Jurassic
Coast.
Trips depart from Portland Marina and head east towards Weymouth
Bay, Ringstead Ledge, the iconic Durdle Door, and Lulworth Cove.
Built by the Dutch in 1930 and originally used to transport cargo

Sailing Experience Days: Enjoy an amazing half-day trip on board a stunning sailing yacht
and explore the beauty of Edinburgh’s coastline.
Upon your arrival at Port Edgar Marina you will meet your RYA
Yachtmaster who will give you a full safety briefing, introduction
to your catamaran, and a coffee before departing the harbour.
As you set sail, the most noticeable and immediate sight you
will encounter is the immense Victorian Forth Rail Bridge which
dominates the skyline, alongside the Forth Road Bridge and the new Queensferry Crossing.
Depending upon the tides, this half-day experience will either
sail down the Forth to Inchcolm Island or up river to the
forbidding fortress of Blackness Castle.

Water Experience Days: Canoeing in Hampshire doesn’t get much better than with this 2.5
hour session on the Beaulieu River in the New Forest. In open top
Canadian canoes that seat two to three people, you will embark on a
paddle around the nature reserve exploring the hidden creeks and
spotting the abundance of wild life lead by a fully qualified and
knowledgeable guide. The estuary is tidal and protected from the
sea meaning the water is usually calm making this a great
experience for beginner paddlers to learn the basics of canoeing
with some fun and games along the way.Your canoeing experience in
Hampshire will begin with a welcome to the centre where you will be
kitted up with the safety gear and waterproofs. Your instructor
will then give you a quick safety talk and discuss where you will
go and what you will see on the experience before heading to the
jetty to get into the Canoe’s. The instructor and guide will be on
hand to help you master the correct paddling technique if you have
never done it before, prior to setting off down the river to start
exploring. After two and a half hours out on the water among the
hidden creeks and wildlife, you will return to the centre where you
will be able to get changed in to warm, dry clothes.

Kite Surfing Experience Days: A 2 day Kitesurfing course is, quite frankly, an absolutely
perfect introduction to the sport that we at Experience Days
consider to be the most exciting, most extreme and most innovative
watersports out there. Kiteboarding – or kitesurfing – is the happy
result of the evolution of various other extreme water sports. It
combines elements of surfing, windsurfing, wake boarding and
paragliding. The huge and powerful kites, and the exceptionally
lightweight boards mean that dedicated kite surfers can achieve
some really exceptional feats (pier jumping to name one!), and new
technologies and equipment developments give kite boarders higher
performance opportunities than many of the longer-established
watersports.

Over the two day kitesurfing lesson you will practice the basic but
essential kitesurfing skills – and vital safety practices – that
you should know if you want to practise riding solo safely. Luckily
for all potential boarders, these skills are relatively easy to get
the hang of, and at the conclusion of the 2 day course most
students will achieve BKSA Level 1 certificate, with some talented
folks even managing to get to Level 2!Day one is all about getting
to know the equipment and learning how to fly a kitesurf kite
(which is 90% of what kitesurfing is about), you will also learn
about important safety procedures and you should finish the day
body-dragging which is huge fun but expect to get a mouth full of
water! Day two is all about trying to get up on the board and
moving and you may start to learn plenty more such as rules of the
road and the holy grail of learning to kitesurf which is riding up
wind.
