most of the time, we don’t even know what goes into it. This
workshop will enable you to know exactly what ingredients are being
put into your soap, because you’re the one making it – using
natural, organic ingredients with a huge amount of dermatological
benefits attached!
You’ll begin by meeting your experienced and friendly instructor
in a studio in South West London, and they’ll guide you through the
process of making organic soap from beginning to end. Firstly,
you’ll be introduced to your homemade ‘melt-and-pour’ base, before
being shown the correct way to heat it up. Next, choose your
colours! You’ll have between 6 and 8 colours to pick from, so get
creative. You can marble your colours together for a luxurious
effect, or layer them. Whatever you choose, compliment it with the
studio’s huge selection of essential and fragrance oils. Finally,
add in some herbs and flowers to give your soap some natural
holistic properties. You’ll end your workshop with a totally
organic, beautiful bar of soap which smells great and does wonders
for your skin.

Arts and Crafts Experience Days: Enjoy this fantastic 1 day course in the art of Glass Blowing.
You’ll be using state-of-the-art equipment under the instruction
of a professional glass maker ensuring you progress quickly and
produce your own pieces of beautiful glass.
Your glass making experience will begin at 10.30am with a
welcome to the studio by your professional glass making instructor.
After a short safety brief and introduction to the equipment you’ll be using, you’ll begin by learning to gather glass from the
furnace, shaping and applying colour. After a short break for
lunch, you’ll start to put the skills you learnt in the morning
session into practice as you make a piece (or multiple!). You’ll also try your hand at the art of glass blowing
and most people get to take home two or three pieces including a colourful bowl or vase or bowl that you can keep as a memento of
your day.
Please note: Your pieces will be sent to you after the experience
as it will need to be fired in the kiln for hardening at a cost of
£20.
